Obituary of Terry Frank Burwell
Terry Burwell, 70, of Wyoming, passed away on Saturday, November 6, 2021, at home, surrounded by his family. He was born in Lafayette, IN on October 19, 1951, to Henry “Red” and Ida Mae (Tracy) Burwell. He was raised in Kewanee, IL and later moved to Wyoming. He married Deb Carter on May 3, 1972; she survives.
Also surviving are his sons, Rick Burwell of Peoria and Jon Randall of Wichita, KS; 7 grandchildren, Shawna, Devan, Alec, Eliana, Zoe, Ella, and Justin; 3 great-grandbabies, Aliyah, Serenity, and Shawn; his brother, Frazier Burwell of Toulon; and his sister, Sharon Redmond of Atkinson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Terri Jo Burwell, 2 brothers, and 2 sisters.
Terry worked for Burlington Northern Railroad and then in construction. He was also the owner/operator of Red’s Sewer Service, which was established in 1936. Terry loved fishing, gold prospecting, rock collecting, and camping. Some of his best times were camping with his kids and grandbabies, and let’s not forget Princess, his life-long dog friend.
Per his request, there will be no services. Cremation Specialist of Central Illinois is assisting the family.
